Entry skilled trades candidates now have the opportunity to immigrate to Ontario through the Skilled Trades Stream. This March 21 draw was given to 361 candidates. All candidates were required to submit Express Entry Profiles between March 21, 2018, and March 21 2019. This draw was one of two draws in 2019. They have issued a total of 732 Numbers of interest (NOIs).

The first draw was on January 24, 2019. Ontario issued over 889 NOIs but the number was later reduced to 371. It was reduced because there were errors causing NOIs to be issued to people who did not meet the criteria.

The Numbers of Interest issued on January 24th are only appropriate for those who are applying to Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream. The stream favors applicants from the construction and agricultural sectors. It, however, plans to expand in the future.

Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled

Ontario is the most populated province in Canada. It has expanded Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP. This program is meant to include a stream of skilled workers who have some experience in an eligible trade. It gives them the chance to immigrate to Ontario.
