Immigration to work in Ontario :

There are three sources in Ontario’s Employer Job Offer category:
1.Foreign Worker Process, where candidates need a job offer in a skilled job with a National Occupation Classification (NOC) code form 0, A, or B.
2.International Student Line, where qualifying international students in a professional occupation need a job offer.
3.Skills Flow in Order, for international applicants who have job positions available in certain in-demand careers.

However, the Employer Job Offer division is not the only choice for foreigners wanting to immigrate to Ontario.

The OINP division of human capital does not necessarily require that applicants have a job offer in the province. This provides sub-categories for overseas students, as well as foreign workers.

Workers eligible for a federal Express Entry-managed programme can emigrate to Ontario through one of three streams:

  • Ontario Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities Process, a route for Canadian Experience Group qualified applicants, or the Federal Skilled Worker Program. They must also meet other criteria for work experience, training, and language.
  • Ontario Express Entry: French-speaking Professional Worker Stream, under this stream, bilingual applicants with skilled work experience may be invited to apply for a provincial nomination.
  • Ontario Express Entry: Skilled Trades Flow, for Federal Skilled Trades Program applicants with current or previous work experience in the province.

Global Degree Streams in Ontario provide opportunities for students of the Masters and PhD.

  • -Masters Graduate Course, international students who have graduated from a qualifying Ontario university with a Master’s Degree may be able to apply for admission to the province without a job offer. Now this source does not accept applications.
  • Those who received a PhD from an accredited Ontario institution may be considered for a provincial appointment without an offer of employment. Requirements for that source are currently open.
