Express Entry plays a significant role in Canadian immigration while giving people the chance to accomplish their Canadian dreams. Introduced in 2015, Express Entry is solely used to manage applications from talented workers from around the globe. Initially, Canadian immigration processed applications as they are submitted, making the process slow and unreliable.
With this, the process experienced lots of delays as more applications came in than Canada could process. Besides, prospective immigrants had to wait for up to five years or more before the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) grants them their permanent residence card. Express Entry is more dynamic and free, allowing applicants to upload their profiles on IRCC websites for processing.
Afterward, applicants receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on features such as age, work experience, education, and more. Based on the CRS score, the IRCC opens the Invitation to Apply (ITA) every two weeks and an Express Entry Year-End Report analysis annually. For instance, IRCC issued 85,000 ITAs in 2019, with some countries getting the most figures.
