What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an application that can be found online. It is a management system for all 3 Federal High Skilled immigration programs. These include the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
How does it work? The system works like an expression of Interest. That is, if you are interested, you should submit a profile. Your profile will be ranked. Express Entry will use a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to assign points to candidates. What types of criteria are scored? The scoring basis is based upon human capital factors. these can include skilled work experience, education, age, official language skills, and more.
IRCC will issue you an invitation to apply if you meet certain criteria. That is if you were one of the highest-scoring candidates when there were Express Entry draws. If you are a recipient you may apply for permanent residency.
It is expected that in 2021, the largest portions of the newest immigrants will come through the Express Entry program. These are managed programs that are throughout Canada. Good luck with your quest to come to Canada.
