Canada witnessed an 87 per cent increase in the demand for housekeepers between April 2019 and April 2020. There is a likelihood that the demand for this occupation to increase as the elderly prefer staying at home. Any store that handles heavy products needs the service of material handlers to move, load, and unload materials. The professionals working in this sector are employees of the storage, transportation and moving companies. Averagely the need for material handlers increased dramatically in 2020. Corona Pandemic caused the growth of e-commerce, and as a result, the demand for the occupation increased. The shift to shopping online created the need for parcel deliverers who also serve as material handlers.
