Implied Status for temporary residents

For temporary residents, this is an implied status. If you applied for an extension to your stay in Canada and you hold a study permit or a work permit, you are allowed to keep studying or working under the same conditions that of your previous permit, under the similar category. But you will have to stop studying or working if you have applied for extension to your stay under a different category.
