At the beginning of the year, Prince Edward Island released dates for the expression of interest draws. Prince Edward has sent invitations to applicants for immigration in the draw that was held on 16th January 2020.
Being the first this year, the PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) has issued 123 invites to applicants in the EE (Express Entry),
Business and labor impact subgroups.
There were 110 applicants in the Express Entry or EE and Labor impact who are now eligible to apply for permanent residence. The successful candidates can now submit their profiles in Federal’s Express entry draw.
Prince Edward’s Express Entry category is part of Canada’s Express system, where candidates are put in a pool of the country’s economic immigration groups. These categories are; Federal Skilled worker, Canadian Experience, and Federal skilled trades category.
Candidates in the express entry category can now receive 600 extra points in the provincial nomination that will add to the ranking in the federal score. Usually, these points are a plus when applying for expression of interest under the Express Entry System, which has stiff competition. The extra points are a sure guarantee that one can now apply for permanent residence in Canada’s express entry (EE) draw.
For you to qualify for the Express Entry draw and subsequent nomination, you must fill an EOI (Expression of Interest) form and submit to Prince Edward’s PNP. The EOI profiles receive awards for the score, which are based on the specific Prince Edward’s Island points. Some candidates who score the highest have the privilege of participating in the monthly draws conducted by Prince Edwards. There is a schedule for the dates when the draws will be held to help participants keep informed about the process.
