How Express Entry System Works?
Express Entry is an application management system for three federal immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
As an Express Entry candidate, you are eligible for one of the above-mentioned programs.
Once in the Express Entry pool of candidates, the immigration department, IRCC will award you points based on your human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, language ability in English or French and other factors.
Get additional points through PNP:
A nomination from a PNP will automatically give you an additional 600 points as an Express Entry candidate. Since most Express Entry draws require candidates to have scored in the 400’s, candidates who receive the nomination are well-positioned to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
Last year’s factual figure:
Last year, Ontario invited 6,716 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through the Human Capital Priorities stream. This was the largest proportion of all the Express-Entry linked PNP nominations that were issued by Ontario in 2020. These increasing figures are a ray of hope for all the aspirants wishing to immigrate to Ontario.
So don’t wait anymore and fill up your application to be among the next list of selected candidates!
