Successful applicants need to have skills or experience in any of the following NOC (National Occupational Classification) 4-digit codes:
- NOC 7321: Mechanical repairers, vehicle service technicians, bus and truck mechanics
- NOC 7322: automobile body repairs
The invited applicants need to show they have over two years’ experience in the above fields within the past five years prior to the application. Their Canadian Language Benchmark (Writing, Speaking, reading, and listening) has to be more than five in all abilities of the English Language. They also have to include language test copies and education evidence in their provincial nomination application. The evidence of education should feature the Educational Credential Assessment report from an institution approved by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) if you acquired your credentials from outside Canada.
In the application, you also need to hold certification from a post-secondary school program that takes two or more years such as trade school, university, and college.
