The SINP is one of the pathways applicants may choose in their quest to migrate to Canada. An applicant sends a request to relocate without following the Express Entry route which enters one in a draw and awaits an ITA (Invitation to Apply)

People with prior work experience in the type of job that generally requires more skills to have the upper hand when applying under the SNIP. You will find that high skills are some of the requirements for eligibility. Other metrics are used when categorizing the applicants in the subcategories.

Applicants with high skills are under the stream Skill Type O, Level B/A on the National Occupation Classification of Canada (NOC). NOC lists all the job categories in Canada and gives them unique codes. Although the SINP program has its way of awarding points, the job categories do not differ from those of the Federal Government.

Currently, the SINP program has left out at least 130 job categories instead of placing them under the stream for skilled professions. At this point, 218 job professions are not yet added to the list of eligible occupations.

Most people are choosing Saskatchewan due to its diverse immigration. There is a need to address growth, and as a result, Saskatchewan is expanding the list of job categories and subcategories to tap more skills.
