Out of the invites, 316 candidates who scored 534 points were recommended from the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.

An additional 84 candidates with a lowest score of 703 points were invited under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative which is a part of the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.  This was a batch of candidates under SRI to meet the specific labour market need.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream (SWM) is established on the particular needs of Manitoba’s employers.  SWM chooses foreign-trained staff that has the skills to satisfy the Manitoba’s employers and nominates them for Canada permanent residence.  Preference is given to candidates having strong connection with Manitoba along with two pathways to Manitoba immigration.

Manitoba Work Experience Pathway

Candidates who are presently working in Manitoba on short-term work permit under International graduates from any province or through the Temporary Foreign Workers Program.  They are not required to work under In-Demand Occupations.

  1. Employers Direct Recruitment Pathway

Candidates with overseas job offers from approved Manitoba employers.

  1. Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO) comprises of both – Canada Express Entry Pathway and a Direct Provincial Pathway.

The goal is to welcome international skilled workers having skills and trained in Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations.  Preference is given to candidates and their spouses having close bonding.  They must be proficient in the local language and trained with experience to find a job quickly.

  1. Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

This is meant for international candidates who have qualification that meets MPNP stream and is eligible under Express Entry criteria and possess an active Express Entry profile.  They require strong skills, training and experience as needed by Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations with affectionate family connections to the province.

  1. Human Capital Pathway

This is designated for international skilled workers who possess training, skills and experience in any one of the Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations.  They must display the caliber to find a job within no-time once they arrive in Manitoba.
