The Express Entry system is responsible for the management of a pool of candidates for three major Economic Class immigration categories in Canada. These are the Federal Skilled Trade class, Federal Skilled worker class, and the Canadian Experience Class.
Express Entry candidates eligible for provincial nomination received and extra 600 points to top up their score. Also, those who wish to get an opportunity to apply for permanent Canadian residence.
The Express Entry Candidates are, however, required to have a separate registration with the SINP for them to qualify for provincial nominations from Saskatchewan.
Those who qualified under the SINP’s EOI system were awarded scores based on a range of factors including their education background, proficiency in English and French, work experience, and their connections to Saskatchewan. Those with the highest scores got to enter the provincial nominations through draws done at SINP’s EOI pool.
The candidates were expected to attain a score 70 in the SINPS’s draw under Express Entry and 79 under Occupation In-Demand Candidates.
Those with active Express Entry profiles and that received nominations through the Express Entry subcategory got additional 600 bonus points. This was a plus because they also got a guaranteed invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence in the next draw.
Occupation In-Demand does not demand them to have an Express Entry profile to qualify. However, the candidates were required to prove their work experience and show their proficiency in either French or English.
One-Year work experience is necessary for both subcategories, but they do not need to have a job offer to be eligible. This opportunity is an excellent pathway for skilled foreign workers looking to attain Canadian permanent residence.
