An Invitation to Apply has been issued to 3,796 candidates under the Express Entry pool in the latest draw that was held on 4th May, 2017 by the immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. All prospective candidates with a cumulative score of 423 or above under the CRS are now applicable to apply for the Canadian PR status. Even though the minimum score requirement was much higher in the draw that took place previously, a lot more invitations have been issued this time.
A total of 39,796 Invitations to apply have been issued in 2017, so far. This is much higher than the number of invitations that were issued in 2016. All the candidates who have received an invitation in this draw can now apply for the Canadian PR status to the federal government. Additionally, the primary applicant can bring along family members, including spouse, common-law partners and dependent children. The authorities guarantee a completion for submitted applications within 6 months’ time. Since the beginning of 2017, the CRS requirements have significantly dropped where as the number of invitations to Apply have significantly increased.
Express Entry Process:
For an individual to receive an Invitation to Apply in an Express Entry draw, individuals are first required to meet the eligibility criteria of one of the three immigration programs managed through the Express Entry system:
- Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)
- Federal Skilled Trades Class (FTSC)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
