Strike while the iron is hot! Research, research and research. Make your iron toasty warm yourself! Read the local newspapers, go through job boards, search online, talk to friends for references, etc. Narrow down choices that suit your ‘self-assessment summary’, your education, your ideal work-location and work ethics.
However, apply to as many positions as you can in as many varied companies as possible. You never know which place can surprise you and turn out to be your dream job!
3. Resume
First impression is always the best impression. And a resume is the first look an employer is going to get of you. Good resume writing skills can go a long way. Write a CV that gives a detailed account of your education, your work experience, skills and work ethics.
Though detail is very essential for a good CV, you will have to highlight your best to catch the recruiter’s eye. You can do so by detailing your CV with crisp short sentences, highlighting your education and best projects in bold. You can also consider attaching a small but professional looking photograph.
4. Organization
Organization is one of the four pillars of success. Applying to jobs at random will not help you in the long run. Job seeking can be tiring and disappointing, but keeping a track of all the jobs you have applied for, attended interviews for and are looking to apply for. Write down in a notebook or if you are tech-savvy, you can save it online and access it from anywhere through mobile devices.
Rejection is difficult for anyone, and to be reminded of the same on a constant basis is no picnic. However, noting down what went wrong during interviews can be a huge help in your development and performance. Learn from bad experiences and implement what you have learnt.

With the ever-growing competition in every industry, job searching can turn into a depressing and never ending quest! Call up on like-minded friends searching for jobs in your niche and attend interviews together. Stay in constant touch with your friends and family to help you process any disappointing experiences.
Always keep in mind that there is a perfect company with the perfect job looking for a candidate like you. It is just a matter of time. Never give up hope. It is very unlikely to be unemployed for a long and an active job seeker always ends up with an offer letter!
7. Becoming an Entrepreneur
If all else fails, you can always start your own company! If you have some spare cash on you, and are equipped with the right expertise, then you can call the shots! You can decide how big you want your enterprise to be or how small. The more you work and the more you invest, the more you reap.
There are many people who have started enterprises with just a small chunk of cash and are now the owners of multi-million dollar companies. It is not as easy as it sounds, but no job is.
