Alberta has also provided details on the most recent draws of AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program). The province issued 46 notifications of letters of interest on January 19 and 154 letters on January 23. In other words, AAIP offered 200 Notifications of Interest to applicants in the Express Entry stream.

According to Alberta, EE candidates in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program will be invited depending on several factors. These include close family ties and high-demand employment occupations. These are the crucial selection factors that increase your chances for the federal Express Entry pool. The eligibility criteria of all streams in the AAIP remain the same.

British Columbia

On January 31, the province offered up to 279 candidates Invitations To Apply for provincial nomination. Additionally, 243 candidates were also invited to a targeted draw dedicated to tech occupants. Invitations were granted to candidates in the International Graduates and Skilled Worker categories. They also included Express Entry candidates.

To be eligible, the candidates from International Graduate and Skilled Worker stream had to attain at least 85 in the SIRS score. Generally, the SIRS is similar to the Express Entry CRS score. However, it is sorely used for PNP in British Columbia. The province also issued invitations to applicants in the following occupations:

  • Eighteen health care workers from International Graduate, Skilled Worker, and Express Entry with at least 60 points.
  • Eighteen early childhood educators as well as assistants with scores of 60 points and above.
  • Other occupations are high in demand, with scores of 60 points and above.

Manitoba

On January 30, the province issued 21 Letters of Advice to Apply; The issues were specifically under Manitoba’s special immigration measure for people fleeing the Ukraine chaos. Eligible candidates must:

  • Be a legal Ukrainian citizen.
  • Have a reliable connection to the province (previous employment, close relative, friend, community, or a student in Manitoba.
  • Have a minimum of CLB 4 in every language band.
  • Score at least 60 points as required by the MPNP assessment criteria.
  • A valid language test
