Ontario

Ontario has also experienced a significant increase in the number of job vacancies. The vacancies have increased by 12.2% which is 22, 465 from the third quarter of 2017 to the 3rd quarter of 2018. Most of the job vacancies were in the social and health sectors.

British Columbia

From the 3rd quarter of 2017, the number of job vacancies in British Columbia increased by 19.4% or 1, 950. The new job vacancies are mostly in the construction sector.

Alberta

The new job vacancies in Alberta are mostly in the health care and social assistance sectors. The jobs have increased by 5,100 or 9.5% from the last quarter of 2017 to the last quarter of 2018.

Atlantic Canada

In the province of New Brunswick, the number of job vacancies have by 2, 140 from the last quarter of 2017 to the last quarter of 2018.

Provincial Nominee Programs have helped various provinces across Canada to fill the increased job vacancies. Provinces can now nominate immigrants with the right skills and experience for permanent residence. Some of the provinces that have benefited the most from the programs are Alberta, New Brunswick, and British Columbia.

Even though Quebec does not participate in the PNP, it has an arrangement which makes it possible to get skilled immigrants into the province. The arrangement is equally effective
