Consider checking the Alberta Express Entry stream, which has been among the most successful provincial nomination programs since its commencement in January 2021. Although the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) halted in 2020, the province has invited up to 4,507 candidates so far. The province is working towards meeting its 6,250 invitation target in 2021.
Even after two large draws in August, the latest one is the largest so far. Through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), the province invited 500 qualified candidates with a minimum of 300 CRS points and already in the Express Entry System.
Before September 7’s 500 entry candidates, the highest record nominee by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) was 473. This numbers were from March 2019 draw.
Alberta Express Entry Stream — Process and Eligibility
People that meet the basic requirement for the Alberta Express Entry stream will be among the 6,250 to receive nomination certificates this year.
The province of Alberta uses this entry stream to select candidates eligible for a provincial nomination from the main federal government’s Express Entry pool. Qualified candidates for the Express Entry belong to the following Federal High Skilled programs:
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trade program
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
Your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score determines your eligibility to enter the Express Entry. Your CRS points are based on different factors such as English or French fluency, education level, applicant’s age, and work experience. The Canada’s immigration department, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), uses these points to determine eligible candidates who can apply for permanent residence in Canada.
