Canada Keeps Going Better
On October 14, Canada broke the record by holding the largest express draw ever. This was one of only two occasions where Canada issued 4500 Express Entry candidates with Invitations to Apply for permanent residence. However, if a candidate is currently out of the country, they will eventually get to Canada and make a life for themselves as soon as the coronavirus restrictions are eased.
Canada has already issued 82,850 Express Entry ITAs with the recent draw sizes being between 3900-4200 invitations per draw. IRCC is anticipating to conduct yet other Express Entry draws on the following dates:
- October 28
- November 11
- November 25
- December 9 and
- December 23
Suppose the IRCC manages to invite at least 3900 candidates for each draw, then it will be able to issue a total number of 102350 for this year. However, if IRCC does not hit this target, but still manages to issue at least 3500 ITAs per draw, it will still exceed 100000 ITAs as we end 2020.
What Does it Mean When Canada Keeps Holding Large Draws?
Well, for one, it illustrates Canadas dedication to get its economy running and stable again by inviting skills and talent from worldwide. Besides that, it shows that IRCC has confidence that it will be possible to process permanent residence applications within a convenient time. If you critically think about it, a larger draw signifies that IRCC anticipates a successful entry to Canada by 2021 by successful candidates.
Also, IRCC could be holding larger draws due to Canadas temporary reduction of refugee intake owning to this pandemic. Other economic class program including Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Quebec’s immigration programs have been overly disrupted by the pandemic. This is another perfect explanation to why IRCC is holding major draws. However, IRCC will make everything clear once they announce their 2021-2023 immigration levels.
