According to the figures given by Zachary Arnold (the author of this analysis), it is clear that between 2017 and 2019, around 128 percent of non-U.S citizens were given the chance to permanently settle in Canada. Also, the figures show that around 26,000 people living in the United States were given this chance too. 20,000 of these 26,000 U.S residents are non-U.S citizens.

Why are so many U.S residents who are nonU.S citizens interested in this program? Arnold tries to answer this question. He gives two reasons why this is happening. “The immigration policies of the United States are not so friendly and so a lot of us (skilled workers) prefer not to be in the U.S.” This is what a lot of U.S immigrants and it is believed to be one of the reasons.

The Canadian government has an immigration policy that can be considered generous and this has attracted a lot of talented and skilled workers into the country. He tries to explain this by talking about Canadian nurtured Cutting-edge tech companies that are good at drawing skilled and talented workers.

Trump (the president of the U.S) is not making the life of U.S immigrants better. His orders towards immigrants are so hostile and this is why most of these immigrants find it better to spend their lives elsewhere other than the U.S. Just like any other person would take any other chance, such immigrants end up taking the chance given by the Canadians and end up being permanent Canadian citizens.
