Requirements Necessary for FSWP

The FSWP integrates a framework that monitors the Canadian skilled economic immigration process. For a candidate to be eligible under the FSWP, applicants need to attain the minimum requirements for the program above. The minimum score is at least 67 points and it focuses on human capital factors that fall under a specific scoring net for the FSWP. This score is separate from CRS.

Apart from scoring the minimum requirement of 67 points provided by the FSWP, candidates should also have:

  • Held at least one year of full-time work experience in a duration of not more than the last 10 years, as required by the National Occupation Classification (NOC) and Training Education Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) level 0 through to 3.
  • Met settlement criteria. This is usually based on direct relations, which include common-law partners, dependent children, and spouses, whether they are Canadian permanent residents or not. The latter scenario can be waived if a candidate who is applying currently possesses arranged employment in the country or is authorized to work in Canada.
  • Met the language eligibility in English or French, which are the two Canadian official languages, and attained a level 7 status under the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).

Requirements Necessary for CEC Eligibility

Eligible requirements for CEC candidates include:

  • NCLC level 5 in NOC TEER at least category 2 or 3 level jobs or minimum CLB.
  • NCLC level of 7 for NOC TEER 0 or 1 level jobs or CLB.
  • Be ready to work and live outside Quebec.

Note, candidates need not show proof of settlement funds in their application.
