2. Obtaining an Invitation to Apply (ITA)
After creating the profile, you will be informed that you have entered the Express Entry Pool if you are eligible. You will also get your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that will be used to rank you against other candidates in the pool. If yours is above the cut-off score, you will receive your Invitation to Apply after one or two weeks. Those whose CRS scores are below the cut-off have to wait until it drops or looks for ways to increase theirs.

3. Providing your Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR)
Once you receive your ITA, you should submit your electronic application for permanence residence within the next 60 days. You have to provide your personal information and documents to prove everything you stated in your Express Entry Profile. This step takes time; hence, it is best to prepare earlier if you are expecting an ITA. It marks the start of the average processing time for your application for Canadian permanent residence via the Express Entry.

4. Getting your Permanent Residence (CoPR) confirmation
Should your application be approved, information to confirm that you have become a permanent resident in Canada will be sent to you. Also, you will receive instructions that will guide you in activating your new status in the country.

The average time taken to process Express Entry applications, as given by the IRCC, might give you the hopes of becoming a Canadian permanent resident in months. However, it is crucial for you to understand that the processing takes time, and there are other steps involved; as explained above.
Additionally, the months listed by the IRCC are nothing but estimates. Delays are not entirely impossible since an immigration officer may take more time to complete a security check. They may ask for more information, and then, you will have to get it, as well as the necessary documents to back it. There have also been instances when some applications were processed in weeks.
The Doherty Fultz Immigration is recommendable for completing your Express Entry application review. They are faster and more efficient. They also help you avoid errors that might cost you your ITA.
