The cut-off score for this latest invitation was lowered to 350 compared to the previous cut-off scores for draws that were previously conducted through the Express Entry system.
A good example is, candidates needed a CRS score of not less than 471 points in order to receive an invitation to Apply. (ITA) for this year’s Express Entry draw.
Though in the previous draws job offers or a person was supposed to have worked with Alberta for one to be eligible for the draws, the AINP has stated that candidates with the following are more likely to be given the first priority.
- If a candidate has a child or their parents’ lives in Alberta
- If a candidate has a degree from a Canadian Post-secondary institution such as a college or university.
- If a candidate has a valid job offer. Or
- A candidate has work experience or has a job offer from Alberta.
Some of the factors that may decrease a candidates’ chances of receiving the notification of interests are:
- If the candidate works in an ineligible occupation.
- If the candidates’ Express Entry profile is set to expire in the next three months.
If you renew your Express Entry profile on time, you increase your chances of receiving the NOIs. You can also find out whether you qualify for Canada through the completion of Alberta’s free evaluation form.
