Canada continues to hold Express Entry draws, giving willing, skilled immigrants more chances to settle in the country permanently. Did you know that on August 20, Canada held yet another Express Entry round of invitations? Well, the Immigration Refugees and Citizens Canada (IRCC) held its 161st overall Express Entry, where invitations were issued to a total of 3300 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. This was the second express draw in two days. With a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 454, a candidate was guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Compare to the previous CEC –specific draw on July 23, today, the CRS cut off score was higher by nine points.
More candidates were entered into the pool over the past month, during which Canada held an all-program draw on August 5th thus the score climb. The CRS cut-off score for July 23 was 445. Program-specific draws have been held since March due when the boarders closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-specific draws that pay more interests to individual provinces were followed, and the two draws combined add up to a round number.600 PNP candidates received ITAs from yesterday’s program specific-draws, which were held by the IRCC.
