Just like the overall Federal Entry System, EOI places the candidates in sub-categories. For any interested party, they have to be proficient in English and French, which are the two official languages of the country. Furthermore, they have to include their educational background, and work experience in their application.
Depending on the information provided, potential immigrants profile are rated. Those who get more than 60 points are considered eligible candidates. They can be put either in Occupation In-Demand or Express Entry sub-category.
Importantly, candidates are placed in the latter or former category depending on their scores. The most highly ranked candidates get their invitation via the regular draws.
This year the minimum score that was set for either sub-category was 61.
Since early July, after Saskatchewan adopted its Expression of Interest system, December 6 draw was sixth in the series. Notably, 4,080 invitations have been dispensed with 1,763 and 2,317 going to Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates respectively.
Candidates who are eligible for the province Express Entry sub-category should have High-skill occupation—especially in jobs that are found in the province, and good work experience.
Always remember that a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer does not count and including it in your profile won’t get you extra points. Additionally the same will apply to Occupation In-Demand sub-category; an Express Entry profile will not confirm your eligibility.
