Manitoba issued a record-breaking invitation to Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on June 28. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) admitted 1,017 immigrants with a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.
All applicants in the Skilled Workers Overseas stream were required to apply to get a provincial nomination. Candidates must submit their profiles to Manitoba’s Expression of Interest (EOI) site to be invited. They required a 565 EOI score to get the Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA).
The Skilled Workers Overseas stream is open to those who have applied for Express Entry. The total number of LAAs issued is 1,017, according to Manitoba’s EOI scoring methodology, with a ranking cutoff of 565. However, it is not the same as the federal Comprehensive Ranking System, which Express Entry uses (CRS). This drawing does not necessitate the use of the CRS.
As a result, if invited candidates receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba, their score will be raised by 600 points right away. This is a national problem, not simply a Manitoba problem. This incentive will be provided to provincial nominees in any Express Entry-linked Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), putting them first in line for an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residence.
