Second Step
Assessment of foreign education credentials
The next step involves assessment of educational credentials if the applicant has been educated outside Canada. However, this is not compulsory if you have a work experience of one year in Canada. If you want to migrate under the Federal Skilled Worker Program in Canada, it is essential to assess your educational credentials. But if you are submitting an application on the basis of Federal Skilled Trade Program or the Canadian Experience Class, then this assessment is not necessary.
Although foreign education credential evaluation is not compulsory for Entry programs, it is pertinent to know that a complete assessment will enhance your chances of obtaining an immigration certificate to Canada.
Third Step
Valid Work Experience
The third step involves checking if your work experience is valid in Canada. You need to check if your work experience synchronizes with the requirements mentioned in the database of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) of Canada.
There are mainly three categories of work experience criteria in the Express Entry System. They are the following.
– Management jobs or Level 0
– Professional jobs or Level A
– Skilled and Technical jobs or Level B
