There are two different application you will have to fill out and you will have to turn in multiple pages of documentation. In order to be considered for a work visa, you will have to fill out an application for a work permit made outside of Canada and an application for temporary resident visa.
Documentation that maybe required includes all of the following: two photo meetings, your job offer letter or contract which includes your job title, wages and conditions, your original passport, and a copy of the Labour Market Opinion. Some other information which may need to be included is a medical exam and police check.

Though the application is time consuming, it is a necessary evil with over 90 countries applying to jobs. The application processing time depends on where and how you submitted your paperwork. However, expect a wait to hear anything. They have over 130 visa application centers worldwide. They have many application to look over and I am sure it is a first come first serve basis.
