A total of 769 invitations were sent. Of the total number, 365 of the invitations were sent to Occupation In-Demand candidates. The invitations given via the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Express Entry sub-category totaled 404. The Express Entry sub-category is open to qualified candidates who have a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
The Express Entry system handles the group of candidates for the three principal Economic Class immigration categories in Canada. The categories are the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
Some candidates are lucky to get extra points. Express Entry candidates that have a provincial nomination are eligible to get a bonus 600 points towards their ranking score. The candidates with the additional points have effectively assured an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
To be eligible for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, interested Express Entry candidates are required to register a different Expression of Interest with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program.
Qualified candidates are given a ranking based on factors like their level of education, professional work experience, proficiency in languages like English and French, and how well they are connected to Saskatchewan. These factors and other considerations are in order with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program EOI system.
Candidates who manage to garner the highest scores are welcome to try applications for a provincial nomination. The applications will be done through standard draws from the SINP’s EOI pool.
The lowest scores in the Immigrant Nominee Program draws held on September 25 were 70 for Express Entry sub-category. The Occupation In-Demand candidates minimum scores for the same draws were a bit higher, with the lowest scores registered being 79.
