Express Entry

The Saskatchewan Express Entry system is usually interconnected with the Federal Express Entry System for effectiveness and order. In this case, interested candidates who have already qualified in the Express Entry pool and have already attained the requirements for the Saskatchewan might in some cases be selected for the provincial nomination.

In this case, Express Entry candidates who have attained a provincial nomination usually receive an additional 600 points that are channeled towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The addition of these points is almost a guarantee for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence because it requires a score of above 400 for the federal draws.

Occupation In-Demand

It is important to note that all the candidates who are qualified for the skilled occupation that is in demand category and who are nominated at the provincial level have their applications for the permanent residence in Canada processed outside the Express Entry System. For this sub-category, a job offer is not required as a key eligibility requirement.

However, for both the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand sub-categories, a key eligibility requirement is for the interested candidate to have experience in one of the listed as in-demand occupations which are 19 as per now. It is therefore the role of the interested candidates to ensure that they meet the speculated requirements to qualify for the Canadian permanent residence.

So far SINP has issued quite a good number of invitations through the Occupation In-Demand sub-category. This adds up to 1789 invitations and 1315 through the Express Entry-Sub category.

On July 24, the number of invitations issued added up to 381, while those invitations issued on August 15, added up to 150. This marked a significant difference between the two draws.

Saskatchewan is at this moment inviting 150 interested candidates to apply for Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams.
