Most PNP candidates and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates are already living in the country. This is due to the program nomination requirements whereby the PNPs should have education or work experience from their province of nomination. On the other hand, the CEC candidates should have worked in Canada for at least one year.
The PNP draws have higher score requirements than the CEC cut-off- this is because the former has a 600 point award, while the latter has a smaller candidate pool.
How do you attain Express Entry into Canada?
If you are eyeing the express entry immigration opportunity into Canada, you should first check out the eligibility criteria. The express entry system is an application manager that targets high skilled workforce. It involves the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. In some cases, as witnessed in this draw, the Provincial Nominee Programs invite express entry pool applicants raising these candidate’s chances of consideration. As a result, candidates in the express entry pool have opportunities for nomination through other Express Entry-managed programs.
Selection criteria
The nominations for permanent residence aim at selecting candidates who have a high chance of succeeding in Canada’s labour market. For this reason, they base the score points on the Comprehensive Ranking System, which puts certain elements into consideration, such as the age of the candidate, their ability to speak English and French languages, educational qualifications, and work experience, among others. Candidates with high score get the opportunity to apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry. All candidates with IAT are eligible for permanent residence with the federal government.
You can only obtain a permanent residence visa from the IRCC upon receiving the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). The permanent residence visa makes you a legal Canadian permanent resident.
