The PEI PNP’S August 15 draw broke a record by inviting more Express Entry and Labor impact invitations than the previous month. Prince Edward Island Government sent a total of 143 invitations for showing interest for the Express Entry. The invitations sent to its provincial Nominee Program were for Impact and Business Impact categories. The 143 invitations sent were broken down on different categories.
The categories were as follows.

10 Business Impact
In the PEI PNP’s category, which was linked to the Federal Express Entry system, gave the province to nominate its Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and also the Federal Skilled Trades Class for their permanent residence.
In the province category, the candidates that obtained a nomination were awarded an additional of 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The 600 points for the CRS are a guarantee for the Invitation To Apply (ITA) for the nominated groups for a subsequent draw from the Express Entry Pool.
Foreign Nationals with a valid job offers were in the PEI’s Labor impact category. The foreign nationals in the province were also given support from the PEI’s employer. There are three possible streams for the foreign nationals under the PEI category. These streams include the Critical Worker, Skilled Worker, and the International Graduate stream. Foreign nationals in the Labor Impact Category are not limited to the Express Entry.
