There are also some extra documents that you might need to carry depending on your individual circumstances:

  • Birth certificates or baptismal certificates.
  • Marriage certificates.
  • Adoption papers.
  • Divorce or separation papers.
  • Death certificate for a spouse who has passed away.
  • Records of school attendance, diplomas or degrees for you and every family member traveling with you.

  • Trade certificates and licenses.
  • Reference letters from previous employers.
  • Details of your academic and professional qualifications and work experience.
  • Medical records for every family member showing immunization, vaccination and other health details.
  • Driving license.
  • Photocopies of all the important documents just in case the originals are misplaced or ruined (ensure you keep the copies somewhere separate from the original copies).
  • Vehicle registration documents if you are importing a vehicle into Canada.

What Can You Bring?
