Why did some people not get invited?
Interestingly, even if someone hit the minimum score, they might not have received an invitation. The MPNP explained that some applicants ran into issues like:
- Entering an expired or invalid language test number
- Claiming a recruitment initiative without including a valid invitation number
What’s a “strategic recruitment initiative” anyway?
Consider it as Manitoba’s method of collaborating with nearby companies and communities to recruit workers who are actually needed. Employers can collaborate with the province to draw in competent foreign applicants who are prepared to cover a long-standing skills shortage.
It’s a win-win situation for applicants, who can move into jobs that are actually in demand while also gaining the chance to obtain permanent residency. Employers gain from this as well because they are able to fill critical positions that might otherwise remain unfilled, which benefits local businesses and the economy.
