International Students and Adaptation of Online Learning
Aside from immigrant workers, the Canadian economy also depend on international students. Once they graduate, the government offers them work permits so that employers can benefit from their skillsets.
Due to the adaptation of online learning, Canada succeeded in enrolling international students without risking citizens’ lives. Besides, even before the pandemic, there were already twice as many online learners as compared to those who attended on-campus classes. Because of COVID-19, this number increases to a whopping 1.6 billion online students worldwide.
The only challenge the Canadian government has had is to ensure online students have access to all the resources they need to excel. This way, they can leverage employment opportunities with the same easy as students who graduated from on-campus schools.
International students who graduated outside Canada can now look forward to their PGWP (Post-Graduate Work Permit).
