How Were The Categories Chosen?
According to legislative demands, before setting down categories for Canada’s immigration system, ministries were obligated to hold public consultation with a range of stakeholders, including provincial and territorial governments; members of the industry; unions; employers; workers; worker advocacy groups; settlement provider organizations; and immigration researchers and practitioners.
To demonstrate compliance with this requirement, IRCC will report annually to Parliament on how they have gone about selecting categories in the preceding year. This document will also include details as to why these groups were selected, along with the precise instructions and the number of invitations that had been issued for creating a category.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an online immigration system established in 2015 by the Canadian government. It is designed to make it easier for skilled foreign workers to come and work in Canada. The system uses a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to assess and rank applicants based on their skills, education, language ability, and other factors. This ranking system helps the government prioritize applications and select the best candidates for immigration. Express Entry has become an increasingly popular way for foreign workers to move to Canada in search of better job opportunities and a higher quality of life.
