Sending talents to Canada through expedited process by companies
For international companies wishing to send their employees to their Canadian location, they can go for the Intra-Company Transfer Work Permit (ICT), It is a program where temporary foreign workers presence in Canada leads to significant benefit on the country’s economy. The worker must have one year of work experience to qualify for this program. If an employer falls in the listed occupation, the technology firm may use the NAFTA Professionals Work Permit.
NAFTA application can be made either online or by paper at the entry port or at the visa office. Mexican and American citizen can enter Canada without a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). Employers and workers who use NAFTA and ICT have to comply completely with the requirements that govern temporary work in Canada.
Ontario opening doors to skilled foreign workers
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s (OINP) is a program that can be used by foreign workers who are skilled and want to settle down in Toronto. The human capital priority stream is managed by OINP to leverage the Express entry system to invite candidates for permanent residence in Canada through the periodic draws from the express entry pool. OINP issued 1773 invitations on August 1 as part of its new OINP Tech Draws.
Experienced individuals in the technology sector are the target of these draws. The invited candidates were expected to have between 435 and 458 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores. Among the eligible occupants in the tech draw are web designers and Software engineers.
The second draw carried out on August 15, 997 invitations were issued to apply for provincial nomination. CRS scores between 439 and 465 were the requirement with targeted experience in occupations such as financial managers, corporate sales managers, registered nurses and others. The candidates were only required to have an Express Entry profile.
