Expression of Interest
An Expression of Interest (EOI) is an online 1,000-score profile for Express Entry candidates. Like the CRS, candidates are awarded points based on one’s work experience, education level, proficiency in French and English and family connections in Manitoba. Candidates who score the highest mark in the test receive an LAA, which allows them to apply for a provincial nomination to get permanent residency status from Manitoba. In the last draw, 534 was the lowest score under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream. The lowest score in the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream was 708.
Skilled Worker Overseas and Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the MPNP’s Skilled Worker Overseas Category, the MPNP is allowed to select and nominate foreign workers who have skills that can help support the labor market in Manitoba.
Candidates are required to prove that they have a connection in Manitoba by; showing that they have a family member or friend, one of MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives’ invitation, previous education or work experience in the province. Candidates do not have to be residing in Manitoba at the time of the application.
The 42 candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream received direct invitations under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative by the MPNP.
Candidates who receive invitations through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category are required to be working in Manitoba and be in permanent or full-time employment, among other qualifications.
International Education Stream
Persons with in-demand skills who graduate in the province can receive an invitation under the International Education Stream.
This stream has three sub-categories: Student Entrepreneur Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the Career Employment Pathway.
