The Immigration Department had issued about 8,000 ITAs, primarily more Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates, making this one of the largest CEC-focused draws in recent months. It’s a really significant boost for those already working and living in Canada. Do you want to be considered for this draw?

The requirements to be considered for this draw are below:

All candidates must have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of about 511. Note that since this is a minimum, your score must be at least 511. Otherwise, you won’t be considered for the draw.

All candidates must have created an Express Entry candidate profile before June 10, 2025. If you created the profile on June 10, ensure that it was before 3:59 p.m. Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). Candidates who did not pass the requirements, including the date of profile creation, may not be considered for the draw.\

Summary of Express Entry Draws for 2026

Draw Date Draw Type CRS Cut-Off Score ITAs Issued
January 5 Provincial Nominee Program 711 574
January 7 Canadian Experience Class 511 8,000

Today’s draw is by far the second-largest on record, exceeded only by the draw during the pandemic era. The latter drew a whopping 27,000 candidates. Additionally, this draw, compared to the previous draws, requires a lower CRS cut-off score, attracting more candidates. It was one of the lowest for draws in 2025. Before today’s draw, the lowest score by far was 509, but this was still on the September 9, 2024, draw.

Moreover, the draw is the second Express Entry selection this year. It follows a Provincial Nominee Program (PNCP draw held last January 5.
