Last week, a total of 1,125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) Were Issued by the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) for their two-draw provincial nomination.
How did they choose the candidates? They based their selection on several factors, including their ranking according to the AAIP’s scoring system, ties to Alberta, and their professional experience specifically in healthcare.
Draw Results for November 10-14
The AAIP issued invitations with different draw sizes and varying scores. These invitations are in two different streams. The minimum scores are:

The November 10th draw was AAIP’s second-largest selection that was held just this year, during which they invited approximately 1,113 candidates to apply for the provincial nomination. The largest selection was on September 12.
The Alberta Opportunity Stream is a pathway for immigration managed by the AAIP, which is designed for temporary workers currently working and living full-time in Alberta.
You can qualify if you have a full-time job offer from an employer based in Alberta and if you hold a valid work permit. Your occupation must also be in the list of eligible occupations, and you must meet minimum eligibility criteria regarding residency, education, occupation, work experience, language, and job offer conditions.
Of all the immigration streams from the AAIP, the Alberta Opportunity Stream has the highest number, with a total of about 3,656 spots. It’s considered the single largest nomination allocation.
As of November 19, about 3,120 nominations were issued, with 536 nomination spots remaining. This is already for the 2025 allocation. To date, the AAIP still has about 1,100 applications waiting. Another immigration selection was held on November 14, focusing on priority sectors, including health care. It was the second nomination that took place this year.
About 494 nominations were already issued as of this writing, and they were through the priority sector draw under the Express Entry Stream. The AAIP allocated about 660 nomination spots for the year 2025.
