Canada is again inviting candidates to apply for permanent residency from the earlier Canadian Experience Class (CEC) after more than three months—a welcome to those wishing to stay in the country on a long-term basis.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent out 500 invitations to apply for ITAs through the Express Entry System. Candidates who were eligible for the qualification needed to have attained a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 547 and created their Express Entry profile before 5:26 p.m. UTC on May 21, 2024.

An Overlook at Express Entry 2025

So far, in 2025, IRCC has issued 34,440 invitations across various categories. This draw is the fourth this month, following specific category draws for education and healthcare workers and a Provincial Nominee (PNP) draw.

Most PNP candidates have received the majority of invitations this year. However, there is still space for CEC applicants, French-speaking candidates, and people under the Express Entry System who are in other priority areas.
