Canada attracts a massive amount of immigrants, thanks to its regular immigration programs. If you’re looking to immigrate to Canada and haven’t had luck in the past, there’s still hope for you. On November 18, the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program invited about 633 immigration candidates in the latest invitation round. That’s after almost a two months break from the previous draws. You can apply via two of the province’s main immigration streams; Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand. Out of the 633 immigrants invited, the Express Entry stream may take 425 candidates, while the Occupations In-Demand subcategory takes 208 immigrants.
While both subcategories are distinct with different requirements, there’s one thing that remains constant: the scoring mechanism. The province’s Expression of Interest (EOI) ranking system shows 65 as the lowest score for each candidate in the previous draws. Also, each category had 14 eligible occupations at the time of the draws. You’ll find the complete list of qualified occupations on Saskatchewan’s official website. Previous draws also note that both subcategories required candidates to undergo an educational credential assessment to show that their foreign education is at par with the Canadian standard.
The Express Entry Subcategory
The subcategory is an enhanced PNP (Provincial Nominee Program), meaning it’s linked to Canada’s federal Express Entry system. It manages immigrant candidates for the country’s three main economic-class entry programs: the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.
