The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently held its eleventh draw of 2023. They sent 3,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) to contenders in an all-program draw.
An all-program draw means that the IRCC considered nominees from the three main immigration programs.
For this draw, candidates need a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 483.
The most recent draw followed the draw that occurred on April 12th where 3500 candidates also received an ITA. However, the candidates in the latter draw needed a CRS score of at least 486.
The last two draws saw the IRCC issue only half of the ITAs that they issued in the previous three draws that happened on March 15th, 23rd, and 29th, where 7000 ITAs were sent for each draw.
The three draws also saw the raising of the minimum CRS score from 481 to 486. The size of these draws and the higher CRS score were typical of prior draws of 2022 and early 2023.
Milestones Express Entry Earned in March
March of 2023 saw more than 21,000 invitations to apply sent to candidates. It was the second most invitations to apply issued in a single month in the history of Express Entry.
February 2021 holds the record for the highest number of ITAs sent in one month with 27,332. However, it was not an all-program draw, as only CEC candidates were invited.
